Jeff Raz, actor/clown/juggler
Jeff has performed with The Pickle Family Circus, Vaudeville Nouveau and Make*A*Circus and in such theaters as Berkeley Repertory Theater, The Kennedy Center, The San Francisco and Marin Shakespeare Festivals and Lincoln Center Theater in New York.

He is currently the Director of the Clown Conservatory at Circus Center San Francisco and a Paden parent.

Luke Brechtelsbauer, clown/musician
Luke Brechtelsbauer was born in the mountains of Virginia. He plays the harp and bagpipes. He has a BA in modern languages, has lived in Brazil, Scotland and China, is a graduate of San Francisco's Clown Conservatory. Luke and his partner Nari Tomessetti are leaving to join the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus in a few days.

Jamie and Natasha, beat box clowns
Jamie Coventry and Natasha Kalusa have been performing at venues around the Bay Area since they met as students at the San Francisco Clown Conservatory. Their act combines music and improvisation that appeals to a wide variety of audiences

Judy Goodwin, musician and Principal
Judy Goodwin is entering her fourth year as principal of Paden School. Her career in education has spanned 17 years also working as an elementary and music teacher. Ms. Goodwin is an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter. In 1997, she released her first CD entitled Until Now.

Jeni Johnson is perfecting her unique clowning techniques as a second year student at the Clown Conservatory, S.F.

Jennifer Levine, puppeteer
Jennifer Levine began perfecting the art of puppetry for young audiences during her years in New York, performing at premiere venues including The Jewish Museum and The Children's Museum of Soho. She has also performed in Los Angeles, Spain, and the Czech Republic. Jennifer studied at the University of Massachusetts, New York University's Performing Arts Practicum, and Malboro College's Sandglass Theater Institute. She is currently a student at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts Clown Conservatory.

Johannes Mager, musician
Trombonist Johannes Mager graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1973. Johannes has also played with the Oakland Symphony, S.F. the Brass Band, Spring Opera, Port Costa Players, the Lamplighters and the avant-garde chamber group the Arch Ensemble. Under the name Ghost Opera Johannes gave his own performances of free-form musical/theatrical improvisation.

Jennings McCown, acrobat
Jennings McCown teaches flying trapeze and trampoline, and performs with Xiao Hong Weng a spectacular hand-to-hand balancing act that can often be seen with the New Pickle Circus and in various venues throughout the Bay Area. He has taught circus skills and flying trapeze at Club Med and currently teaches at Circus Center San Francisco.

Jason McPherson, clown/juggler/acrobat
Jason McPherson has toured internationally as the comic tailor in the premiere and encore tour of Cirque Ingenieux, as well as in numerous solo, ensemble, and review shows. He currently performs on cruise ships around the world.

Linie Orrick, clown
Linie Orrick is currently making a name for herself as a second year student at the Clown Conservatory, S.F.

Prescott Circus Theatre is a performing group of fourth and fifth graders from Prescott Elementary School, a public school in West Oakland. Led by Aileen Moffitt, the Prescott Circus Theater (formerly the Prescott Clowns) has been thrilling audiences for nearly 20 years.

Heather Rogers, magician
Heather Rogers, scholarship award winner at the 1999 Women-in-Magic Conference, Las Vegas, is a superb, versatile talent both at Close-up and Stage slight of hand. She has performed magic for hundreds of private, public, and educational organizations including Children's Fairyland and the Palace of Fine Arts Theater.

Jeff Sensebaugh, acrobat
Jeff Sensebaugh is a math teacher and acrobat with Circus Center S.F. He is, as he puts it, the less colorful half of the Chinese lion.

Shelley Senter and Isabel Cristo, dancers
Shelley Senter has been involved with experimental and post-modern dance for more than 20 years as a performer, choreographer, and teacher. Shelley was a principal dancer with the world renowned Trisha Brown Dance Company, whose work she has staged worldwide. She is on the faculty of the Clown Conservatory at Circus Center San Francisco and is a Paden parent.

Isabel Cristo is a third-grader at Paden School. She has been involved in performance all her life. Besides soccer, wall ball, swimming, art and reading (often Remy Charlip's books to her brother Luca), she loves to perform. She also loves magic and fairies, and learning about animals.

Weng Xiao Hong, acrobat
Weng Xiao Hong was a member of the famed Nanjing Acrobatics Troupe in Nanjing, China, specializing in chair-balancing, Chinese poles, and hoop diving, among other acrobatic forms. For the last 6 years, Xiao Hong has been a principle teacher at the Circus Center San Francisco. He is a regular member of the New Pickle Circus.

Anne Weshinskey, tightwire walker
Anne Weshinskey has been a professional dancer and performance artist, a carnival worker, rock musician and circus artist. She is currently a librarian at the San Francisco Public Library with degrees in Ethnomusicology and Library Science. After training at Circus Center S.F. for a few years, she moved to Virginia to teach herself tightwire, unicycling, and puppetry. Anne most recently finished an East Coast tour of her one-woman show, "Winnie's Wondercabinet".
